End of March

Thought I'd pop a few pics from last month that we haven't put in their own little post.
Our little sports star has a thing for toothpaste.

Riley's first go in the "jumpy jump". He's doing very well swaying around on his tippy toes but I'm not sure he's figured out what his knees do yet. Lucas took a few days, so we'll see how we go :o)Me and my blue eyed boy (at least I hope they stay blue)
I'm very pleased that finally we get to have some capsicums instead of the fruit fly wrecking them all! I ripped out the tomato plants that had done their thing and we still had a good crop of greens for chutney or tangy lasagna sauce. The beans were for soup at lunch.

I took down the beans too to make room for something else and Lucas sat there munching and pulling apart ALL of the remaining beans and eating the lot!

He won't eat many cooked veggies for dinner but doesn't think twice about ripping handfuls of silverbeet, beans, capsicum, parsley etc from the garden and eating it all raw.
Ah! proud mum :o)

Play Mates

There were other play mates on this day but the pics are all censored.
Here's Lucas with Jack (giggle monster).
Drinking out of the paddling pool (the side they DIDN'T pee in!)

Pretty Pirate

Lucas discovered the stash of "treasure" in the little bush (cubby) next door where the girls live. He tried on all the lip gloss and bangles. He did pretty well since he was up a tree without a mirror.

AMAZING Amazement

Amazement is owned by a jolly English woman who got the idea of a maze park from the National Trust houses that do it in England. It's open at school holidays, public holidays and weekends but she let us come on a Thursday :o)

We only went to the small area on the left. There was so much more to this place, but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with what we saw. Steve and the Alpaca agreeing on something

These goats were so lovely and friendly.

I love this pic as you can see the chickens going into their Wendy house chicken coop.

Lucas loved the feeling of the soft lipped hairy whiskered donkeys as they ate from his hands.

This was a peddle car digger, but they have electric ones too - official John Deer farmers equipment :o)
Gentle!!!

Gramps relaxing .. as he should be!
Riley wasn't all that into it, I'm sure he will be next year.

Little getaway

Terrigal Beach - friend's apartment, wished we could have stayed longer :o(

Sandy hands, springy legs, gammy leg, power nap.

Riley at 3 months

Riley with his little knitted elephant.

This is Regan one of the little girls from next door.

The Next Generation

Daddy dropped by the house on Sunday morning after dropping a patient at the hosp in our street.
Lucas jumped in the back and said "shut" obviously ready to roll!

Potato patch treasures!

Here's Lucas and me with the newly dug spuds.

It was very exciting and only one very small potato had a bit of scale and a bug in it. ALL the others were perfect!!
There were massive ones that barely fit into my hand and teeny tiny ones that we ate as a salad the first night.

I planted 2 kilos of seed potato and we harvested a whopping 7 kilos! So we'll be fine for the next month or two. I'm definately doing that again.

TIP: to anyone who's considering growing spuds. Let the tops die off completely and you'll have the best chance of really big potatoes. We picked the potatoes in the styrofoam boxes a little early when the tops were just half dead and they were all small to medium.

Smiley Riley

Riley started smiling a few days ago - hop skip jump- went my heart. He's soooo beautiful I love every minute with him and now he's two months I'm still finding it really hard to part with him even for a few minutes to let someone have a cuddle.

Ok so it's hard to get him to smile for the camera... I tried!

Give me wings and I'll.... swim.

Yesterday I got to witness Lucas' swimming skills. He and Daddy have been going swimming 1-3 times a week and they both love it. This new job sure has its perks - lots of Father-Son time.

..and he swam all the way to the side on his own.
