Trip to Coolangatta

Sunrise on the Pacific.

Lucas feeding two hungry calf's at "Tropical Fruit World"

Lucas ans Suzi going down a water slide. Yes Lucas really is in here! In blue.

Went for a walk along the beach and found this great jump rock.

Nothing better than a good jump.

Suzi and Lucas digging in the sand.

Sitting watching the swell.

It's 5.30am and Lucas had been up for almost an hour and would NOT go back to sleep so we went for an early walk. Half way there he says "Tired...bed". Daddy say's "Grrrrrrrrr"

Riley LOVED the sand. Loved to face plant it ALL the time.

"Mmmmmmmm......gritty".

Meeting with the boss.

Here's Riley in the boss' chair.

You can hear him say "mama" in this one. He's been saying it for weeks but we rarely get it on camera.

I took him to the Dr's for his immunisations a few weeks ago and asked her to check Riley's ears as he kept tipping his head a few times on one side and then the other. In her professional opinion he was trying to play peekaboo. Ears were fine :o)

Lemons are the theme - YUM!

Ok, so now the lemons are ripe and ready we've been eating lemon roast chicken, lemon oil steamed veg.. lemon everything - and we love it!
Lucas prefers to gnaw on the bark of the tree..

This is the yummiest lemon (and raspberry) muffin recipe.
Bad picture I know.. I just kept getting too close as they smelt and tasted sooooo good. This is the carob swirl bread recipe but I used cocoa and made the plain bread oat and honey. It was .. Okay.

All from the same cookbook - The Enchanted Broccoli Forest> Finally getting brave enough to make some.

Play School

There were a few tickets left for the afternoon show at the RSL on Tuesday so we took the boys.

Riley got right into it all and jumped the whole time (then flaked out)
You can just about see Lisa on the left. She's a friend from church who we bumped into.

Daddy and Lucas watching the show. Ruby's in there too somewhere.
It was all a bit too loud and perky for me. (Haven't had much sleep :o)

Mid June

Ahhh! Boodiful! 6 Months and getting cuter by the day :o)

He must have the most killer stomach muscles as he's always half lifting himself up. He doesn't much like being left to play on the floor - loves sitting up and being a part of the action.
At Alex and Mary's house playing with the .. thing. Lots o' fun.

I really need to get/make Lucas one of these doll's houses. He LOVES playing with them and the novelty of miniature furniture. (Things tend to "crash" more than be put in place though).

June

Well this little piggy is already inbetween a 0 and size 1 (between 6-9mth and 9-12mth) and he's not even 6 months yet (a week to go).
So off a shopping we will go next week.
Luckily he has a couple of super cute outfits to show off before he grows again!

Lucas' favourite fig rolls with some apricot jam/macadamia butter swirls - they were the blandest thing on the menu
